MOON REFLECTIONS AT LAKE LEATHERWOOD
Join nationally acclaimed photographer Jack Fusco for a night photography session at Lake Leatherwood, minutes from Eureka Springs.
Lake Leatherwood City Park is a place of natural serenity encompassing 1600 acres which includes an 85 acre spring-fed lake. The lake is formed by one of the largest hand-cut native limestone dams in the country.
Photograph clear or partly clear skies and capture stunning images of the nearly full moon over Lake Leatherwood. We will photograph the moon itself and many other scenes by the light of the full moon. Jack and other volunteers will be on hand to help you learn to set your camera to shoot in low light settings opening a new world of photography.
The goal of this workshop is for you to leave with the knowledge and ability to shoot the stars on your own. SIGMA Ambassador Jack Fusco will guide you through the basics of astrophotography all the way up to some advanced techniques. Jack will also review some basic astronomy information that will help you plan and capture images of the stars.
Be sure to bring your tripod, cable release, and flashlights to this event. For photographing the moon a long lens is recommended. If you are experienced in night photography come and join us for an evening exciting area of photography. If you have never done night photography, you will absolutely want to attend and learn just how easy and fun it can be.

Jack Fusco is a professional landscape astrophotographer / timelapser. What began as a way purely to document his travels as a touring musician, photography has become his main form of creative expression.
Whether chasing the Milky Way along coast lines or capturing the Northern lights in unforgiving remote locations you’re sure to find him coffee in hand, smiling up at the stars.
