Photo Gallery: Sigma F1.2 Primes in the Land of Pharaohs

By Bryce Way

Sigma is pleased to feature a gallery of images by photographer and filmmaker Bryce Way. This gallery is comprised of images shot with the Sigma 35mm F1.2 DG II | Art and 50mm F1.2 DG DN | Art lenses.

“I had an absolute blast using the Sigma 35mm F1.2 and 50mm F1.2 in Egypt. Egypt is filled with incredible scenes and cultures and it was fantastic pairing lenses like these with an environment that already feels so visually rich. The sharpness wide open is honestly insane, and being able to shoot at F1.2 on the streets made it so easy to isolate subjects and pull them out of busy scenes. The 50mm was perfect for portraits while we were traveling, especially capturing moments with the crew. I definitely leaned toward the 35mm F1.2 for lifestyle details and even some wider landscape frames. 35mm has always been one of my go to focal lengths, so having that extra F1.2 just opened up even more creative options. It’s one of those lenses that will probably never leave my kit.”

How 3 Sigma Lenses Shaped Our Creative Photography Project

Photographers and set designers Jada & David Parrish explore how three Sigma lenses transformed both their creative process and final images inside a small attic studio. The 15mm Fisheye emphasized scale and distortion, the versatile 28-105mm enabled multiple compositions from one set, and the 135mm delivered intimate, cinematic portraits with exceptional subject separation.
