“Travel Photo Essay: Describing a Journey Through Images” with Mark Edward Harris & Samy’s Camera – Los Angeles

This is a three-part workshop including a live online lecture, a hands-on photo shoot and a live online photo review session.   Mark Edward Harris will be teaching this workshop and Sigma’s Marc Farb will also be in attendance at the hands-on shoot.  Marc will be bringing Sigma lenses with him and all participants will have the opportunity to try out lenses during the workshop.

Live Online Photo Review Session on Zoom: November 8th 6pm Pacific Time

From establishing shots to environmental portraits, award-winning photographer Mark Edward Harris discusses and demonstrates the techniques and concepts necessary to create a professional looking photo essay, a series of images that tell a cohesive story during the lecture portion of this workshop.

On Saturday morning, students will have the opportunity to put theory into practice.  Students are invited to first stop at Samy’s Camera between 10am-11am to check out a Sigma lens to try during the workshop at no extra charge.  Mark Edward Harris will lead students on a hands-on photo shoot from 11am-2pm.

The workshop will conclude with a critique and discussion of marketing travel photo essays.
