This October, Sigma takes over the Peak Design Los Angeles Store in Venice for a month of photography, cinematography, community, and creative exploration.
Across four weekends, we’ll bring together photographers, filmmakers, and creators for a series of hands-on experiences designed to inspire new ways of seeing and making.
From portraiture and motion picture storytelling to the radically simple Sigma BF and a Halloween-inspired photo walk, each weekend offers a different way to experience Sigma lenses, cameras, and the creative process.

THE ART OF ENGINEERING. ENGINEERING FOR ART.
At our “Lens Lab” – available every Saturday until 6PM – you can get hands-on with Sigma lenses and explore how focal length, perspective, and optical design can transform the way you see and create. Plus, see and try the radically simple BF Camera, a beautifully unique way to enjoy photography.
In addition, Sigma experts and local creators will be on hand to share their experiences and help you discover the right tools for your creative process. See below for more information about specific activities.

PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
Discover the art of portraiture with photographer Lindy Lin, who will lead a hands-on workshop exploring perspective, composition, and the relationship between photographer and subject.
Explore Sigma lenses and learn how different focal lengths can shape the look, feel, and story of a portrait.
Enjoy a complimentary coffee bar, light bites, refreshments, and a DJ set throughout the afternoon.

MOTION PICTURE STORYTELLING
Step into the world of cinematography for an evening focused on the craft of visual storytelling.
Explore Sigma Cine lenses and join a conversation about the creative decisions that shape a moving image – from lens choice and composition to character, atmosphere, and story.
The evening will also feature a special sneak peek and Q&A of Never After Dark with Director of Photography Patrick Ouziel.
Light bites and refreshments will be served throughout the evening.

RADICAL SIMPLICITY IN PRACTICE
Experience the Sigma BF, our radically simple full-frame camera designed around clarity, restraint, and direct engagement with the act of seeing.
Join Bernard Antolin, CEO of Acquire Magazine; Neva Leoncini, Opera Singer and Actress; and Steve Nguyen, Photographer and Past President of Porsche Club LA, for a conversation exploring creativity, perspective, and the philosophy behind the BF.
The experience will also feature an exhibition of BF photography created by the featured creatives, offering a firsthand look at what happens when technology gets out of the way of the creative process.
Light bites and refreshments will be served, and guests will receive a special Sigma BF publication created exclusively for the experience.

CLOSING CELEBRATION & HALLOWEEN PHOTO WALK
We’ll close out the takeover with an afternoon and evening of photography, community, and creative exploration. Grab your camera, bring your perspective, and join Sigma and Peak Design for a Halloween-inspired photo walk through Venice.
Enjoy a biscuit and matcha bar by Pa’s Biscuitisserie, along with refreshments and a DJ set, before heading out to explore the neighborhood through a Sigma lens.
The closing celebration (starting around 6:00PM) will also feature an exclusive first-look experience, offering guests an opportunity to be among the first to see something new from Sigma.
