Kids Sports Photography with SIGMA
Join SIGMA Tech Rep Marc Farb for an in-person seminar on Kids Sports Photography. Marc has more than 25 years of commercial experience. He can show you several different approaches to photographing your subjects. Marc will take you through getting the right focal lengths for the task at hand. In this lecture, you will go over things like shutter speed and depth of field.
Feel free to join us immediately following this seminar for our in-the-field experience where we will have a chance to photograph action in the field. (Make sure to register separately for the in-the-field experience.)
Photographing Action with SIGMA
Join Tech Rep Marc Farb from SIGMA for an informative hands-on session photographing action shots with high telephoto zoom lenses available courtesy of Sigma. Let him show you the tricks and tech tips of getting great action shots of your favorite sports athletes. This will be immediately followed by Dynamic Sports Portraits.
Dynamic Sports Portraits, sponsored by Westcott & SIGMA
Whether you enjoy taking portraits in natural light or with flash, there is so much to learn about how to create a dynamic portrait. In this session, Westcott rep JC Carey and SIGMA rep Marc Farb will be conducting live portrait sessions outdoors (weather dependent!) using our athletes from our “Photographing Action” event. They will discuss the importance of lighting and how to effectively use speedlights in an outdoor environment. Bring your camera and a lens!
Motor Sports with SIGMA
Join us for a presentation led by photographer and SIGMA Tech Rep Marc Farb! In this webinar you’ll learn all about the equipment options, setting choices, and best practices for working in a fast-paced environment. Marc will give you the tips you need to improve your images of these amazing automobiles.

For Marc, photography is more than a way to earn a steady income. It’s a way of life. A lifelong photographer, Marc has taught classes all over the United States and Canada on photographic topics ranging from pixel to print, and all points in between. Before his work at SIGMA, Marc also worked for Xrite, Ilford, Mamiya and Sekonic. He continues to work as a professional freelance photographer, and currently resides on Long Island.
