About Brian
Brian has had a lifelong passion for photography.He has a bachelor’s degree in photography from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.He has a long history of working in camera shops with the best experience being 12 years at Calumet Photographic in their hey day of the late 1980s and through the 1990s. He joined the professional products group of the camera division of Canon as a tech rep in 2000 and got to experience the transition from film to digital in both stills and video. He has shot 8×10 and 4×5 film, most of the medium format cameras, and Minolta and Nikon film cameras and Canon film and digital cameras. He joined Sigma as a tech rep in 2018.He has done photojournalism, weddings and portrait, product, landscape, documentary, and nature. In his free time, he likes to photograph trains, planes, and people either together or separately. He does enjoy teaching and helping his students enjoy photography and capturing the world around them.
