Photography is powerful: images freeze a moment in time, express a personality, and tell a story. When it comes to capturing our beloved animal companions, going above and beyond to tell their stories can be a significant part of documenting their lives for their humans!
This class focuses on crafting visual stories that highlight their unique personalities and the bond they share with their humans. You’ll learn how lenses play a key role in the final appearance of an image, a variety of techniques for capturing candid moments, creating emotion-driven compositions, and utilizing light to enhance the narrative.

Pet photography is a lot like portrait photography – except your subject can’t understand you, doesn’t know what a camera or a photo is, and there’s a chance they might scratch, lick, or drool on you. In other words, it can be very challenging.
SIGMA Ambassador Anabel DFlux has spent her career mastering the art of pet photography. From choosing the right camera settings to directing humans and animals simultaneously, she knows what it takes to capture perfect pictures of her clients and their pets. And she can teach you what it takes, too.
Join Anabel for this Hands-on workshop where she will give you all the tools you need to capture your furry friends in all of their expressive majesty.
We will be hosting this workshop at the Westminster Hills Open Space Off-Leash Area on Saturday April 12th from 4:00pm-6:00pm.
This workshop will help you learn how to photograph your pet. Please DO NOT BRING YOUR PET to this workshop. We will have animals there who are ready to have their picture taken.
