Macro Photography Hands-On Workshop with Heather Larkin
Saturday, May 31 | 10:30AM – 1:30PM PT
Join Heather for an engaging dive into the magical world of macro photography! She’ll be sharing her favorite tips and tricks for capturing tiny subjects in a big way, along with behind-the-scenes stories of how she created some of her own standout shots. You’ll learn how to frame your subjects for impact, lock in sharp focus, and make the most of your macro gear—whether you’re just getting started or looking to level up. Heather will break down key settings like shutter speed and aperture in a way that actually makes sense, and she’ll finish with a few tips to help you spot great subjects in everything from tiny critters to everyday textures.
The second half of the program will be hands-on for all to put into practice what Heather discussed! We’ll have flowers as our subject ready to photograph at the macro level. Sigma will be on-hand to loan out limited gear for the group to use.
Please bring your camera and a fully charged battery and empty memory card.
