Dancers in the City with SIGMA Ambassador Heather Larkin
Dance photography is about collaboration with the dancer as much as it is about the photographer.
Walk with Heather and a ballerina around Bethesda Terrace in Central Park as you learn the basics of dance photography, from lens choice to posing, to the proper dance terminology that will help communicate your vision. Learn about framing and composition for dance photos, and watch Heather work with a professional ballerina to get stunning images that please both photographer and dancer.
We will have limited SIGMA loaner gear available to try out on a first come-first serve basis. All gear loans will require a valid state-issued ID and major credit card to secure the loaner during the workshop. Space is limited, so register now to reserve your spot!
Meeting Location: Bethesda Fountain in Central Park (north side of the fountain, facing the water); Closest park entrances are W 72nd St and E 72nd St.
**Please contact Derek Fahsbender from the Event Space team at derekf@bhphoto.com with any questions, or if you’re having trouble finding the meeting location on the day of the event.
