Advanced Macro Photography Webinar and Photo Critique with B&H Photo and SIGMA’s Brett Wells

Explore techniques and accessories to achieve greater magnification, working distance, and depth of field. Learn the tricks of shooting extra large and extra close, as well as the limitations, challenges, and complications of extreme macro and, of course, how to overcome them!
In this webinar hosted by B&H Photo and taught by photographer and SIGMA tech rep, Brett Wells, we will cover some of the more common accessories for taking your macro photography beyond the basics — which include, but are not limited to, extension tubes, diopters, bellows, and teleconverters. We will also address techniques such as: focus stacking, exposure control, lighting, and camera stability.
After the first class on June 2nd, 2021, you will be given assignments to practice the techniques you’ve learned for an image critique on June 9th, 2021 with Brett Wells where you will have plenty of time for questions and answers!
About Brett
Brett Wells has worked in the field of photography for over 25 years. He has a masters degree in photography from the University of Westminster, London, UK. He taught at the Art Institute of Atlanta for 7 years and currently teaches classes and workshops around the United States. His work has been published and exhibited in this country and abroad.
Brett is the Education Coordinator and a Technical Representative for Sigma Corporation of America, supporting Sigma, photographers and photographic education around the country.
