Raised in Botswana, William's lifelong captivation with wildlife and untamed wilderness ignited a deep love for nature. His journey began with a fascination for birdlife, evolving into a desire for storytelling. His work has been published in renowned magazines and books, including the Remembering Wildlife series, while also receiving recognition in regional and international competitions. Having worked as a photographer within the natural history film industry, his images have been featured in esteemed projects for National Geographic and the BBC. His attention now lies in the photographic tourism industry, hosting, guiding, and teaching his guests the joy of photography and exploration, throughout Africa, and beyond. In 2022, he established the South African Photographer of the Year competition, aiming to nurture and honour creativity within the country. Photography is not only his career, but above all, his passion. He has an unwavering love for capturing the awe-inspiring beauty of the natural world, and sharing it with others.
