Great Vimeo projects made with Sigma Gear by Jack Howard

Plug the names of Sigma lenses into the video search box on and you will discover tons of videos made by creative photographers and HD SLR videographers.

As our Facebook friends know, we’ve been sharing some of our favorite Vimeo discoveries for the past few weeks. Now, here’s a roundup of some of the coolest videos we’ve recently seen made with great Sigma lenses.

We suggest you grab the popcorn, go fullscreen, and sit back to fully enjoy this collection of amazing videos made by Sigma shooters!

An Amazing Urbex Slideshow
Walter Arnold proves you don’t necessarily need an HDSLR to make a great video presentation. He showcases his amazing still High Dynamic Range Images shot with the Sigma 10-20mm lens from abandoned structures on his Vimeo channel, augmented with Ken Burns movements and ambient audio.

Beautiful Living Pictures
I don’t know what else to call Romy Ocon’s wonderful bird videos from the Phillipines other than “Living Pictures.” Simple, wonderful, beautiful.

A Beachside Visit Painted Vibrant
Christian Fitzpatrick calls this vignette made with the Sigma 50mm f1.4 “some random shots.” We call it a great virtual escape!

Lovely, Soft, and Mysterious
Here’s an equally compelling vignette, in a much more muted palette, again with the Sigma 50mm f1.4 by Smog Films.

Under the Spell, Indeed!
Tadas Kazakevicius titled this video journey in Corsica “Under the Spell” and we have to agree. This video makes me want to look for flights and hotels to this amazing island!

Americana at its Finest
Matthew Friedell brings the viewer along for a Fourth of July Celebration in Lawrence, Kansas, captured with the Sigma 30mm f1.4. What a great holiday weekend study.

Can’t wait for the full version!
Perfect Savage Productions used Sigma Primes in the making of “Confluence Cafe.” Based on this trailer, we can’t wait to see the final result!

On the Subject of Characters
This stark scene is played perfectly by the actors in this small drama by Luke Dejoras.

Spending time in the land of Don Quijote
I discovered this gem in my personalized Vimeo feed as I was writing up this article. This fantastic Spanish journey shot with the Sigma 10-20mm lens features bold imagery and creative color palettes.

Taiwan in a Time Lapse/HD Hybrid Way
Dave Brinda captured the energy of Taiwan in HD video as well as with Time lapse to make a spirited portrait of place.

My Most Ambitious Time Lapse Project Yet!
Knowing I had this Vimeo feature in the calendar, I pushed myself to make my most ambitious multi-camera time lapse video yet. I explored a rock quarry with the help of three Sigma Lenses. I hope you like the results and think it worthy of a place in this video collection.

A Great Trio of Adverts
Will Vazquez makes great use of a Sigma 17-70mm in this commercial for a Florida Pizza chain!

Stephanie Yang sells the Morning News in San Diego with the help of the Sigma 10-20mm lens.

Twain Pictures tells a great story about Wooden toys in this slightly longer-form ad piece.

Finally, In Closing: TreeBranche!
We close with this great spoof perfume advert from Jon Simonassi. What else can we say but “TreeBranche”?

What do you think of this collection of videos? Should we include your great Vimeo video in our next Video roundup? Drop us a line and let us know!
